Lightning Dogs is an action-packed multimedia adventure series forged from a love of radical sci-fi stories and the gloriously unhinged creativity of 80s and 90s media. It’s a character-driven exploration of what it means to be human from the perspective of a pack of dogs who’ve never met one.
Like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before them, the Lightning Dogs are creator-owned, independent, and making their debut in print where their full potential can be unleashed. First bookstores, then the world.

MEET THE CREATORS
The Lightning Dogs pack is led by Cat Blackard, Doug Banks, and Tony Baldini, professional creators and aficionados of pop culture. They were personalities on Nerdy Show, a beloved nerd media podcast, where they honed their creative chops and where the Lightning Dogs were born. Since then, their power has only grown.
Cat Blackard

Cat is a multidisciplinary artist and multimedia storyteller; the award-winning showrunner of audio dramas The Call of Cthulhu Mystery Program and “MOTHER,” She Wrote, a chameleonic voice actor (Midnight Burger, Moonbase Theta, Out), visual artist behind best-selling albums, and Mother Brain of the production company, Omniverse.
Doug Banks
(He/ Him)
Doug writes pulp adventure, soft science fiction, and action comedy for film, television, and podcasts. He’s a professional Game Master for tabletop games; known for creating cinematic experiences, developing the immersive Surprise RPG format, and resurrecting the classic 1980s Ghostbusters RPG in the audio drama Ghostbusters: Resurrection.
Tony Baldini

Tony is a professional illustrator fueled by heartfelt stories that mix and match mediums and animation in all its cinematic, campy, and subversive forms. His love for puns is known throughout the galaxy and simultaneously reviled and adored. Tony honed his podcast hosting chops with Cat and Doug on the legendary geek media podcast, Nerdy Show.
